No-Deposit Forex Bonus Terms Decoded Lot Requirements, Profit Caps and Country Rules
No-Deposit Forex Bonus Terms Decoded : The headline sells a no-deposit bonus; the terms decide whether you ever see a cent of it. This guide decodes the seven clauses that appear in almost every free forex bonus, with real figures from 12 brokers: Valetax, JustMarkets, XM Group, RoboForex, XTrade, Headway, InstaForex, FBS, xChief, Tickmill, Mitrade and Wisuno. All the offers discussed are listed as valid until 31 December 2027.
Clause 1: The bonus is credit, not cash
Every broker here treats the bonus amount as trading credit. Tickmill states plainly that the initial $30 cannot be withdrawn or transferred. XM's $30 is likewise never withdrawable, and InstaForex's $1,000 is free trading credit, not money in your pocket.
The exception in spirit is XTrade, whose $25 is a cash-type bonus credited to equity. Even so, you must reach 300 XPoints to redeem it. XTrade $25 bonus
Clause 2: The lot requirement
This is the number that decides whether a bonus is realistic. One standard lot is 100,000 units of the base currency, and volume usually adds up across trades.

A useful test: divide the target by the days available. xChief's 30 lots over 30 days is 1 lot a day, which is heavy on a $100 balance. JustMarkets' 5 lots over 30 days is about 0.17 lot a day.
Watch which instruments count. xChief counts only forex majors and crosses plus gold and silver, and only trades that meet minimum duration and point rules.
Clause 3: The profit cap
The cap is the most you can ever withdraw, however well you trade.
- Valetax: $150 under its 2025 terms, five times the bonus.
- Headway: $100, with instant payout limited to 50% of eligible profit.
- xChief: $100, with profit above that deducted at the first withdrawal.
- Tickmill: a minimum of $30 and a maximum of $100.
- JustMarkets: $30.
- Mitrade: $50 under past terms.
RoboForex takes a different line: its bonus funds are not written off during a drawdown, and you can withdraw profit from both your own and the bonus funds.
Clause 4: The time limit
Unused credit and unmet volume disappear when the window closes. The range on this list is wide: Mitrade's past offer lasted 48 hours, Headway runs 7 days, xChief and JustMarkets 30 days, FBS asks you to use its $100 within 30 days, and Tickmill allows 60 days plus 14 days to claim profit.
Clause 5: A deposit before withdrawal
Many "no-deposit" bonuses ask for money at the cash-out stage. Tickmill requires $100 in your Wallet; JustMarkets requires a live account with at least $100. RoboForex asks for $10 by bank card at the start instead, and XTrade's bonus applies only after your first deposit.
Read this clause before you register. If you never plan to fund an account, choose an offer where verification alone unlocks withdrawal.
Clause 6: Banned strategies and trading limits
- Expert advisors: banned on Tickmill and JustMarkets bonus accounts; allowed on xChief.
- Position limits: JustMarkets allows 0.01 lot per trade and 5 open positions.
- Hedging for the bonus: treated as abuse by Tickmill and xChief, including hedges across other brokers.
- Price-feed exploits: Tickmill voids profit from quote-flow errors.
- Third-party deposits: Tickmill can cancel the bonus if a deposit comes from someone else.
Clause 7: Country and entity eligibility
Regulation shapes who can claim. European rules restrict bonuses for EU retail clients, so many offers are run through non-EU entities. Restricted lists can be long:
- Tickmill: excludes EU citizens and countries including Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and the UK.
- xChief: excludes Afghanistan, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam and others.
- JustMarkets: excludes the EU and EEA, UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Japan, Vietnam and much of Africa.
- FBS: does not serve the UK, USA or Canada.
- Wisuno: eligibility depends on country and the regulatory entity of your account.
XM's $30 bonus also depends on the XM entity that serves your country.
Scoring an offer in 60 seconds
Give each bonus one point for each "yes":
- Is my country eligible?
- Is the lot target 10 lots or fewer?
- Is the window 30 days or longer?
- Is the profit cap at least twice the bonus?
- Can I withdraw without a large deposit?
- Are my usual strategies allowed?
- Is the broker's licence verifiable on the regulator's own register?
Five or more points is a strong offer for most traders. Below three, look elsewhere.
Red flags in any bonus
- Terms that are missing, vague or hard to find.
- A promise of guaranteed profit.
- A fee to "unlock" a free bonus.
- Anyone asking for your password or login details.
- No company address or regulatory information on the site.
FAQ
Why do brokers cap profits? The bonus is a marketing cost. A cap limits the broker's exposure while still letting you test the service.
What is the hardest clause to meet? Usually the lot target combined with a short window.
Do the terms change before 31 December 2027? They can. Brokers reserve the right to amend or cancel promotions, so recheck the linked page before you claim.
